Sizing Information

The way in which clothing is sized differs between countries. In New Zealand, the sizes of our clothing and footwear are probably quite different from what you might normally wear. For this reason, it is very important that you study our sizing charts very carefully to find out what size you would wear in our sizes. Before you look at the size charts, please read below about the Comments Section.

The Comments Section

This is a blank area in the check out area, which you can use to communicate any concerns you may have about sizing directly to us.
It would be very helpful to us if you could advise us in the Comments Section:
  • Your actual measurements.
  • Whether you would like your garments to fit closely or rather loosely.
  • Any unusual physical features that you may have that could influence the fitting of a garment.
ie: - if you are extra tall or short.
        - if your arms are of an unusual length.
        - any other relevant information you may have about sizing.
Please do take the time to complete the Comments Section, as it will help us provide you with the correctly sized garment.

How to Find Out What Size You Require

  1. The Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest under your arms and across the back. The chest measurement is the most important measurement for knitwear, jackets, vests and coats.
  2. The Waist
This measurement is the key measurement for men’s long leg underwear. Please measure loosely around the natural waistline.
  3. The Hips
Please measure around the fullest part of the seat about 22 cm or 9" down from the waist. This measure is the important measure for women’s long leg underwear.
  4. Write down your measurements and then study our sizing charts to find out what size your measurements most closely match.
This size will be your size when you order from us
Unless:
(a) If the information about the style you have selected recommends that you may be better to choose a larger or smaller size than usual on account of the way in which that style is made
or
(b) If you like to wear your clothes more fitting than usual (go down a size)
or
(c) If you like to wear your clothes more loosely than the standard fit (go up a size)
(d) Occasionally we may, based upon the specialised knowledge of our garments and the information you have supplied us about your size, recommend that you order a different size from what you have selected. In such a case, we would e-mail you to discuss our recommendation and gain your approval.

It would be helpful to us if, in addition to studying this chart, you could supply us with the measurement of the length of your foot from the heel to the end of the longest toe. This will enable us to check to see whether the size of slipper you have ordered is correct.
Please put this measurement in the Comments Section

Sizing For Hats

  1. To obtain the measurements needed for a hat, please measure around the crown of your head (ie: from the middle of your forehead around the back of your head and then back to the middle of your forehead).
  2. Compare your head measurements with the size chart below to find out what size hat you would require
  3.
